Engagement

Engagement Photography | Britani + Ethan | Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary Mequon, WI | Village Park Thiensville, WI by Emily Hilleshiem

I’ve known Ethan since high school, so when he reached out to ask me about photographing his wedding I was really touched. Ethan and Britani are currently doing the long distance thing while they each finish up school, so coordinating schedules for their engagement session took a little time, but oh was it worth the wait! Britani is simply the sweetest! She has stunningly beautiful eyes and a smile to match. Ethan knows just what to say to make her nose crinkle and her smile beam. Sure it was a little chilly, but it didn’t seem to bother them. They were just happy to be with each other. I also must tell you, that the more details Britani shares about their upcoming summer wedding, the more excited I get! Trust me friends, you won’t want to miss their wedding post! Until then, here are some Winter photos that are sure to warm your heart and hopefully bring a smile to your face too.

Engagement Photography | Katherine + Mike | Covered Bridge Park | Cedarburg, WI by Emily Hilleshiem

What better way to welcome the return of Autumn than with an incredible couple!?! I personally cannot think of a better way. It’s no secret that this is my favorite time of year. Nothing beats the beautiful golden light, so I knew we had to incorporate that into Katherine & Mike’s engagement pictures! Let me tell you, these two are a great match! And you better believe my heart swelled when Mike made a comment that she wasn’t smiling with her real smile. “With her real smile, she smiles with her eyes.” Sure enough when he coaxed it out of her, she truly shined! I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next summer! In the meantime, please enjoy their engagement session preview!

Engagement Photography | David + Naomi | St. Lucas Lutheran | Bayview, WI by Emily Hilleshiem

Ya'll one of my oldest and dearest friends is getting married! I've known Naomi since 1st grade. We've navigated the waters of high school together, which isn't unusual, except for the fact that God worked in amazing ways by having both our families move to Wisconsin in the same summer so that we could. But enough about that, let's talk about my bestie and her guy.

Seriously, there are few things more amazing that seeing your best friend light up when she's around the guy who's captured her heart. Their engagement session was all the more personal because I had the pleasure of photographing in the same place that he proposed. How neat is that!?! But wait, it gets better! It's also the place where they will be starting their life together as husband + wife come April. Three milestones all connected by a single location, a church. They've built their relationship on their love for God and their love for each other, and I couldn't be happier to see where He leads them.
