This gal. What a stunner! There is no denying that she has an incredibly kind and loving heart, and you don't need to know her well to be assured of that truth. As I was talking with her, she described wanting a "country/rustic" look. And myself, never wanting to miss out on a chance to photograph at Retzer Nature Center, suggested we go there, and I could not be more happy about the results! The pop of color that the yellow flowers add is seriously swoon worthy! Another swoon worthy element...her SHOES! (I may have been a tad more obsessed with them than is healthy, but oh well!) Meg has one of those smiles that just radiates. I had the best time photographing her!
After she wraps up her senior year, she's planning to become a pediatric nurse, and I have no doubt in my mind that God is going to use her to be a light for many kiddos going through a challenging time. God's blessings on the rest of your senior year, Meg!

I must confess that I am slightly obsessed with Kourtney’s forearm tattoo. As I had the pleasure to get to know Jesse + Kourtney as a couple, I may have become even more obsessed. Although, they attended the same high school, they didn’t date until after college. In His wisdom, God had them come into one another’s lives to be the love and support that each of them would need while facing different challenges. He truly commands our destiny!
Fast forward to their wedding day, and what an amazing day it was! It was a heartwarming day filled with so much love for these two. This was made evident by the number of people who were present not just for their reception, but also for their ceremony. A wedding is a day, but a marriage is a lifetime. Their friends and family recognize the truth in this and will continue to be a constant source of love and encouragement for them.
The love that Jesse + Kourtney have for their friends and family was also clear. For Kourtney, she and her dad share a special bond that was seen during their look before the ceremony and everyone who was there was holding back some tears. Father/daughter dances always make me teary smile and this one was no exception! As for Jesse, I was pleasantly surprised to see in their wedding bulletin that next to each gentleman’s name was listed “Brother to the groom". It simply goes to show you the wonderful kind of man that Jesse is and the importance of knowing that family doesn’t require you to be related.
But enough about them as individuals, because these two as a couple are fantastic! They met on the dance floor, so you better believe we made plenty of time for some dancing! And these two have some great moves! They got a little dancing practice in before the reception at the park (you will not want to miss those pictures!). And their first dance certainly did not disappoint. I LOVE when you can tell that a song is special to a couple because they’re singing the words to each other!
Jesse + Kourtney are sure to share many more dances together in the years to come as husband + wife! Many congrats and God’s blessings you two!
Engagement Photography | Aaron + Megan | Retzer Nature Center - Waukesha, WI /
Where to begin? Almost 24 years ago, I made this handsome gent a big brother for the second time. Although, I'm sure he would agree that there's a difference between having a baby brother and having a baby sister. For example, having a baby sister brings so much more joy (and perhaps more screaming).
Growing up, I often thought about the woman that he would marry one day. I never doubted that he would get married someday, I just knew that it would happen and that when it did he would be an exceptional husband. He has a huge heart and truly cares about the ones he loves.
Enter Megan. I make it a frequent habit to ask my brothers if they're seeing anyone, because I know that none of them would ever just tell me if they were dating a girl. One particular time when I asked Aaron, there was a pause. Jackpot! My brain kicked into overdrive as I thought about all sorts of questions to ask. However, not wanting to be too much of a pain, I stuck to the basics: name, how they met and her job. He answered them and I was satisfied...for now. As I talked with him more, I eventually stopped seeking more information about Megan. Instead I just paid attention to how he sounded when he talked about her and their time together. He was truly happy and as a little sister, what more could I want?
It was a special experience to photograph their engagement pictures. Having the chance to not only observe another love story in the making, but a love story of my own sibling was a feeling that I won't soon forget.
But perhaps that's enough of the gushy stuff. (There will be plenty of time for more before their big day in July; so I will cut myself off here! haha)
Introducing my big brother, Aaron, and his beautiful fiancée, Megan!
