Engagement Photography | Kourtney + Jesse | Lakeshore State Park - Downtown Milwaukee by Emily Hilleshiem

I have enjoyed every little conversation that I've had with Kourtney. The girl is funny, completely real and down to earth! Bring Jesse into the equation and you have a great match. Going into their session knowing a little about each of them as individuals, made learning their whole story as a couple all the more wonderful!

In between soaking up pieces of their love story thus far, we took some pictures. (And I played with some sun flares. hehe) These two are all about the fun! Capturing Jesse's excited expressions when I asked them to kiss never got old! Plus when you meet on the dance floor you absolutely have to throw a few moves into your engagement photos.

I'm eagerly looking forward to their wedding next July. It is sure to be one great party!

Meet Kourtney + Jesse!

Engagement Photography | Grant + Stephanie | Lakeshore State Park - Downtown Milwaukee by Emily Hilleshiem

The lakefront holds special meaning for Grant + Stephanie; since it was the location of their first date in Milwaukee. I really enjoyed getting to know a little bit about them and their relationship which blossomed when they met at college. It didn't take long to realize why they clicked so well. They can't help but smile and laugh in the other's presence. And they are so at ease with with one another. It was just second nature for them to give one another quick pecks on the cheek and to snuggle up nice and close. For those reasons, I was "ooo'ing and aw'ing" behind the camera throughout their entire session! These two simply love to love each other.

So without further ado, meet Grant + Stephanie!

Wedding Photography | Dan + Becca | St. Paul's Lutheran - Franklin | Clarion Hotel - Milwaukee by Emily Hilleshiem

As if the rest of the day hadn't proven it already, as I photographed Dan + Becca singing along to their first dance song by The Script,  I couldn't help but think these guys were my kind of people.

Their maids of honor, Lauren and Erin, and best men, Chris and Jason, got to the heart of what is so wonderful about their newly married friends. Lauren had asked each of them what they loved about the other. Becca loves Dan's selflessness and eagerness to help anyone at anytime. Chris and Jason each recounted a few moments when this was made evident. And Dan loves Becca's easy ability to laugh and smile. Erin stated how Becca could make the worst day end with laughter. His servant heart and her infectious personality are just small parts of what makes them a great couple.

Although, they were surrounded with loving friends and family, on their hearts and in their minds was the memory of Dan's younger brother, Josiah. They danced to "You Should Be Here", by Cole Swindell, in his memoriam. It was such a powerful moment to watch as tears were slowly accompanied by smiles as they remembered that he is with his Savior.

All in all, it was a beautiful, warm, June day as this Canadian groom married his Wisconsin bride.

Congratulations Mr. + Mrs. S!
